Scuola Calcio Director Ludovico Masucci
Ludovico Masucci is a native of Naples, Italy. Masucci moved to the United States with his family at the age of 11 and started playing soccer for St. Dominic's in Brooklyn.
Masucci played for many teams including FDR High School, Brooklyn College, Ambrosiana and Mola. He has been coaching since 1998 and started with FIAO before joining the Brooklyn Italians Soccer Club in 2000. Masucci coached at different levels at the Brooklyn Italians, focusing mainly on teams between U10 and U14, the age he refers to as the "sponge age," or the age where young players absorb the most information for their soccer careers.
Masucci has won many titles and tournaments as a coach. His teams have traveled across the United States to experience what travel soccer is like outside the tri-state area. Masucci has accompanied Brooklyn Italians players who had trials abroad at AS Roma. In 2012, Masucci traveled with his team to compete in the Unipol International Tournament featuring professional clubs: AS Roma, Juventus, Inter, Benfica and Barcelona.
Masucci's coaching style is mainly focused on maintaining the already excellent standards that have been set while helping the players reach the highest potential. He is a USSF National C license coach and also holds a Director of Coaching license. Masucci is die-hard supporter of Napoli and Diego Maradona.
