Jan 27th College Night

BROOKLYN, NY – The next Brooklyn Italians College night takes place on January 27th, 2016 at 7:00 PM. The players will hear from Kevin McCarthy of NextGen and learn more about the college recruiting process. The colleges that will be represented at the clubhouse are Adelphi University, St. John's University, Manhattan College, and SUNY Cobleskill.

McCarthy, a former member of the Brooklyn Italians, explained to all of our players at the last event about every step of the recruiting process and provided tips and best practices to prepare for the process. After the presentation the players were given valuable resources and the opportunity to speak to the coaches of Brooklyn College and Adelphi University. McCarthy also spoke about the time he spent at the Brooklyn Italians. He emphasized that he would not trade his time at the club for anything. He spoke fondly of his former captain Silvio Montalto who attended the event to reconnect with McCarthy.

“The event was a major success and we plan to follow up with another event in the coming weeks,” said Director of Coaching Dominic Casciato. Casciato organized the event, which is the first of its kind in Brooklyn Italians history.
