2016 NPSL Tryouts
TIM PARKER, FORMER BROOKLYN ITALIAN NPSL DEFENDER NOW PLAYING IN MLS
BROOKLYN, NY - Brooklyn Italians are pleased to announce the first round of tryouts for the 2016 NPSL team. Hosted at John Dewey High School at 12pm on February 6th & 7th, the club welcomes any talented players with aspirations to make it to the next level to attend.
NPSL Team Head Coach and former US Men’s National team player, Mirsad Huseinovic, is building a strong and exciting young squad, hoping to add to the illustrious list of former Italians who have progressed from the NPSL team into the professional ranks. One former player, Tim Parker (2013 & 2014 seasons), has just been called into the US Men’s National Team by Jürgen Klinsmann, and Huseinovic is hoping to attract players of a similar standard to this year’s team.
“We have a strong core of players returning from last year’s squad, and are excited to add to that core with some of the best local talent around. I’d encourage anyone looking to improve their game and make it to the highest level to attend our tryouts so they can be considered for the team”, Huseinovic said.
Having just announced affiliations with West Ham United of the English Premier League, and NY Cosmos of the NASL, it is an exciting time to be part of the Brooklyn Italians and a great place for young prospects to be developed and identified.
